DanceForward brings together dance training, networking, and industry education into one powerful experience. It’s designed for dancers who are ready to take their next step but aren’t sure where to begin.
During the weekend, dancers will have the opportunity to audition directly for colleges and universities, dance teams, talent agencies, professional training programs, and other industry organizations. Major players in the dance industry are coming together under one roof, bringing the opportunities to you.
DanceForward prepares dancers not just technically, but professionally. Throughout the weekend dancers will participate in:
- 5 convention-style master classes led by industry leaders like Riley Watts, Martha Nichols, Rachel Reese, Billy Griffin, and more! Classes explore styles that reflect today’s professional dance world: Theatre, Dance Team Style, Jazz, Ballet, and Contemporary.
- An audition prep series covering how to approach auditions, build a resume, carry yourself professionally, and prepare.
- An Industry Partner Expo, where dancers can meet representatives from highly respected programs and organizations including AMDA, CLI Conservatory, Hofstra University, St. Joseph's University, and many more!
- A real-world audition to be considered for real opportunities, scholarships, and representation.
Your Support System
DanceForward knows that dancers don’t navigate their careers alone. That’s why the event includes a Supporter Series for parents, teachers, studio directors, and guardians.
Supporters will engage in discussions on college pathways, industry expectations, financial planning, and how to guide their dancers toward sustainable careers.
It’s a resource designed to give families and educators the confidence to support dancers as they transition into the professional world.
