Tommy Wasiuta, described as a "breath of dance freedom" (New York Times), is a Tap Dance Artist based in New York City. Inspired by the musicality of Tap, Tommy released Drum Shoes (2024), a Tap dance-only album that explores the Tap shoe as a stand-alone instrument. The album is accompanied by Tommy's first book, Drum Shoes: The Transcription Book. His stage credits include The Joyce Theater, 92NY, Little Island, Jazz at Lincoln Center, and the American Dance Festival, where he has performed under the direction of artists such as Michela Marino Lerman, Max Pollak, Luke Hickey, Elizabeth Burke, Claudia Rahardjanoto, and Ulysses Owens Jr. Tommy has also choreographed and performed the entire Tap Dance Concerto with the Saint Joseph Symphony. His passion for Tap dance extends to his work as an Educator, teaching at Steps on Broadway, the Joffrey Ballet School, and more.
